 photo 93d6de2a-3dc0-4f51-8fe2-117f98d4b96b.jpg

This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like. Only one prompt per comment please.

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Lastly, please pimp this to your flist and on Tumblr and everywhere! I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

Rules kept from last year:
If you want to request a queerplatonic ship you just use this symbol: ~ instead of the: / Read more about the concept HERE

Sports Night, Dan/Rebecca, relentless
Lord of the Rings (book or movie-verse), Eowyn/Faramir, free as a bird
Ithilien did not have Rohan's wide endless plains, but it had enough wide rolling valleys to suit her.
To suit them.
She let out a cry of joy, kicked her horse's shins and leant into the embrace of wind; and beside her, Faramir did the same.

Greek Mythology, Princess Cassandra of Troy, A favorite color of hers had been blue.

A favorite color of Princess Cassandra of Troy had been blue. Princess Cassandra believed the color blue to be the color of brilliance, calmness, and depth as well as endurance and faith. She came to feel that the knowledge that one could always find beauty in the blue skies above them or the clear blue oceans around them did give one a sense of happiness to cling onto no matter what would happen in the future.

Greek Mythology, Princess Cassandra of Troy, A favorite food of hers had been apples.

A favorite food of Princess Cassandra of Troy had been apples. Princess Cassandra believed apples to be big and commonly round red fruit that did happen to be crunchy and delicious to one's taste buds although extremely juicy as the juice from the apples had been known to run down a person's chin whenever people would eat them. She came to consider apples to be delicious to eat, but she did know that they were also dangerous such as people choking to death on the seeds inside of them or even more deadly whenever in the hands of the gods as events that she had foreseen to happen in the future would occur according to the will of the Fates in Troy.
Charmed, Wyatt, brother
Narnia, Edmund, control
The two young combatants circled each other, eyes alert for any sudden movement from the other and oblivious to the crowd that gathered to watch. Peter struck out first but Edmund anticipated his brother's impatience and with a quick step managed to cause him to lie flat on his back in the middle of the courtyard, the tip of Edmund's sword hovering dangerously close to the High King's heart.

"That was a bit too close for my tastes, Edmund," said Peter, panting with exhaustion as his brother removed the weapon and offered a hand to help him up, "but now I see why the General said learning restraint on a battlefield is important."

Harry Potter, cisgirl!Harry, what changes?
She has Lily's eyes, but her father's big ears and hopelessly cowlicked hair overshadow them -- not a pretty child in the slightest, Petunia thinks, and ten gets you one she'll need glasses by the time she starts school; there's nothing about her to make Dudley feel insecure the way Lily made Petunia feel shabby and wanting just by breathing. She might have her mother's quick wit, and of course she'll have inherited magic from both sides, but... but Lily spun butterflies out of sunlight when they were girls, and made Petunia bounce one time instead of breaking her arm when she fell from a tree, and so magic in and of itself can't be wholly pernicious, just what it does to those who think a bit of power means they can lord themselves above everyone else; perhaps if she teaches her niece to see the dangers of the magical world as well as its surface temptations, to know what killed her parents, that won't bring disaster down upon her own son.

Petunia sets up a crib in the spare room and tucks Harry (dreadful nickname, she thinks; pity Angharad is such a mouthful and hasn't any other obvious shortenings) to sleep with the smallest and least-loved of Dudley's toys; she won't love the girl -- not now, maybe not ever -- but there's a vast kingdom between love and hatred, and if nothing else, she'll have the satisfaction of taking better care of Lily's daughter than Lily would ever have managed for Dudley in return.

Vorkosigan/The Goblin Emperor, Gregor Vorbarra & Maia Drazhar, Thou must be emperor
“I cannot.”
“Thou must. Dost thou see anyone more fit for the position?”

Apologies for excessive shortness. I do love those books, but find both Addison's and Bujold's styles admirably difficult to copy..

Heart in a box (Kelly Thompson) - Emma finds Brock, ala Breakfast at Tiffany style
Mad Max: Fury Road, Nux/Capable, and if fate should break my stride
Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa / or & any, the difference between hope and survival
You can survive without hope but you can’t live without it.
Hope is the spark that ignites in the engine of Furiosa’s soul, propelling her onward with shadowed grease-smeared eyes, knuckles white and iron fist clenched firmly round her skull-clad steering wheel. Hope is her water and her mirage both, lending her visions of a future that holds her standing as those around her fall.
Mad Max: Fury Road, Toast / or & any, past and future
Any science fiction, any, out of time

They can hear it, the strains of Edith Piaf's voice filtering through the layers of the dream, distorted like sound in water, as the world begins to tilt.

Ariadne hates this feeling most of all, the sense of crumbling instability, and the sudden rush of time decompressing far too fast, and how she feels like she is endlessly falling.

It's probably why Arthur kisses her now (every time) and grips her hands tight, to give her (them) something solid to hold onto until they wake again.
Thunderbirds are go (2015) - Scott Tracy - costume malfunction

Stargate SG-1, Mitchell and anyone on the team, Mitchell's first death

The last thing Michell remembered was getting zapped by something in the off-world temple he & Jackson were exploring.

The next thing he knew, he was lying on the floor with the temple priestess removing something that looked like a cross between a hockey mask & a birdcage from his face.

Then a concerned-looking Daniel drifted into his field of vision muttering: "The first death is the hardest."

Imperial Radch series, Breq (/Awn), and neither have I wings to fly
It happened five or six times, that first year: I lost control of my limbs and lay there on the ground, sick, choking, crying, thinking at my own stubborn body, "Get up, you can't reject the process now, there aren't any more segments, you're not even connected to an AI core, there's nothing here but you!"

Hallucination is not usually a symptom of a failed ancillary connection, but each time it happened, I thought I felt her arms holding me up, heard her voice. My voice returned first; I sang with her until the rest of my body would move.
