This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like. Only one prompt per comment please.

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Lastly, please pimp this to your flist, I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

Have fun!

If you have any questions ask them to the first comment.

So, I'm turning 19 in two days. I'm not too old to feel giddy in anticipation of my birthday, am I? And I'm REALLY looking forward to getting my MacBook!

Hopefully I'll get some money for my bday too, so I can buy my parents some Christmas presents, because I'm really short on cash. I'm going to start looking for a job in January. (I need to start saving money for London June 2010!)

You should totally go and read [info]be_themoon's awesome Doctor Who/Narnia fic: Whose Other Side Is Salvation

Some awesome three sentence fics you need to read:

[info]turkeyish wrote Chronicles of Narnia, Edmund, England and cigarettes.

[info]grim_lupine wrote Anastasia, Dmitri, the best con artist in town

[info]almostinstinct wrote Gossip Girl, Chuck/Serena, ties and alchohol.

And [info]be_themoon wrote (absolutely awesome): (Which inspired me to write a 500 long ficlet, which I'll post later this week, hopefully.) Anastasia, Anya/Dimitri, honour among thieves.

The Three Sentence Fic-a-Thon is still going strong. If you haven't joined yet, I strongly urge you to. It's very low commitment, you can leave a prompt and you don't even have to fill another (though that would be nice.)

Here's the ones I've filled so far. I hope there will come more prompts with fandoms I actually know. It's great that there's such a diversity, but I know nothing of anime so I can't fill any of those prompts.

This got a little long so I cut it. Under the cut there's 3 Narnia, 1 Doctor Who, 1 Charmed, and 1 Supernatural. )

If you want to see what prompts I've posted that hasn't been filled yet, go here.

I am having a brilliant day, even though I'm so very tired. I had norwegian exam today and I ended up writing a eight page long fantasy short-story. First I decided to write a modern fairy-tale (I was going to have the girl save the prince and everything!) but then I realised that it would take much more time than I had (only had five hours), so instead I wrote a fantasy short-story. The assignment was to write a short-story and draw inspiration from norse literature and norse mythology. I ended up writing a hero-story which is very norse, but I'm afraid a lot of it is more english, than norse. Hopefully my teacher will be dazzled by the story and not care.

When I came home, I was very tired, but very proud of myself. I lied on the couch and just watched episode 1.3 of Lewis which I just simply adore. (see icon!) It's murder mystery, with compelling characters and a huge dash of dry english humour. Just my cup of tea!

Then after a few hours on the couch I managed to drag myself to check my inbox and what do I find? Lots and lots of people participating in the Three Sentence Fic-a-thon! I could not be happier. I have tagged it to the top of my page, so it's easy to find. It'll keep on going until it dies.

Tomorrow I have english exams, which I'm really looking forward too. I'm going to kick ass.

An inquiry: Who is up for a three sentence fic-a-thon? It was one of the themes on [info]comment_fic this week and it was so incredibly fun. And if anyone else is up for it, I'll totally host it.

The premise is that someone posts a prompt (one prompt per comment) and you answer it with a three sentence fic. It's so much fun and you'll end up writing for fandoms you've never tried before and it gets the creative juices flowing.

So what say ye? Are you up for it? Will you pimp it to your flist? (PLEASE SAY YES!)

If you're game, I'll make a post about it as fast as I can. (I really want to do this. It seems like those are the only thing I'm capable of writing these days.)

ETA: I'll even make a banner. You don't know it yet, but I'm real shit at making banners=)

ETA2: Actually, no, I will NOT make a banner because I really am shit at it. But if anyone else would like to, then please do!

Narnia fandom really has two fandoms. If you don’t believe me, then you are not in the Narnia fandom. It took me awhile to understand this and it took me even a longer time to get to terms with this. As a reader I think it’s great, but as a writer it makes me very frustrated because I don’t know which camp I’m in. Let me explain:

There is the original fandom on fanfiction.net, the fandom that write fics based on the books and their fics are nice and pretty sugary. With straight off battles and the good people are good and the bad people are bad, and there are not many grey-zones. There’s no… meta in their fics. Here, Peter is a nice guy, and Lucy has never been drunk in her life. You get my drift.

Then there is the fandom that sprung up after the movies came out, on LJ. They talk and interpret and are not satisfied with the Narnia C.S Lewis wrote about. They talk politics, economy, law and how it really would be to rule a country. Their fics are magnificent.

Why is this relevant? Because I have a confession to make: I am really struggling with my Narnia fics. I don’t know which part I’m part of anymore. One part of me wants to keep writing fluffy pieces because I don’t want to offend my old Narnia friends and my beta, and the other part just want to say screw it and stop posting my stuff on ffnet. Because I really feel that my recent fics (An Art to It and For Duty’s Sake) really clash with what they want over at ffnet.

And what’s the main thing that’s holding me back is my beta. She’s brilliant! I admire and fangirl her so much (you have no idea how happy I was when she offered to beta for me!) but I feel that my view of the characters has changed so much from her view of the characters. (I blame [info]bedlamsbard ) I’m actually really considering changing beta because it’s really cramping my writing and I feel so horrible!

So what I’m working up to say is this: I have been writing this fic for awhile now (it was supposed to be for the [info]femgenficathon)

(and it’s really, really not going to fit well over at ffnet, and I’m not sure if my beta is going to like it and I don’t want her to have to beta this bigass fic that she essentially don’t like, so… )

But the thing is that I’m stuck! And I’ve also lost the second chapter when my comp. died. And… would any of you like to just read it and give me some reactionary comments? Not a fullblown beta, don’t need that just yet, I just need to know that what people think and maybe make some comments on if you think the characters are acting like they should and stuff?

Okay this was rambly and confusing. But it was nice to get that off my chest at least.

Also, read my semi-meta on why I don’t like Peter/Susan.

Some of you (and when I say some of you I guess I only mean [info]be_themoon) might remember a while back when I said I'd written down why I didn't like the Peter/Susan ship, but was unsure of posting it cause I didn't want to offend anybody. Well, it's a few months later and I've continued to think about it and I now completely know the reason why I don't like that ship (AKA: I can explain it in a way that makes sense!)

Surprisingly it has nothing to do with the incest (which should worry me a bit more). It has to do with group dynamic. The Pevensies are four siblings. Two boys and two girls. And in every fic I read and write this is never forgotten,- even though I might focus a bit more on the boys,- the relationship between the four of them is never forgotten or overlooked. What I feel happens in Peter/Susan fics is that the two others are forgotten and that makes me very uncomfortable.

But of course, I'm a hypocrite because I don't mind this as much when it's Susan and Lucy who's forgotten when I read Peter and Edmund brotherfic. And maybe this is because I'm truly cemented in this part of fandom and maybe my dislike of the P/S ship is simply that there's so many of my favorite people on LJ who likes this ship and I kind of feel left out?

I was really happy when I found out that it wasn't the incest that squicked me, but the fact that pairing off two characters in a set of four is just all wrong to me. Because to me, the Pevensies is a unit that works together and when you disrupt that it becomes all wrong to me. (Which is also why fics post-Narnia and the Problem of Susan is so interesting because without Susan they are wrong.)

In fandoms like Supernatural I don't mind the incest at all, because Sam and Dean have always been just the two of them. (If that makes sense?)

On a side note, it might also be that I just don't see them as characters hooking up either. Like, had they not been siblings I don't think I would ship it, because I see no spark and there needs to be sparks.

God, I hope this was clear and not offensive.

Please discuss in the comments. Tell me why you like it, or why you don't. I'm really interested, since I'll freely admit that I know next to nothing about the ship, except a few fics and people talking about it on my flist. Educate me! But don't be rude.

Today on [info]comment_fic the theme is three sentence fic. Here's what I wrote:

Gilmore Girls, Rory & Lorelai, Rory starting nursery:

She looked back at her daughter, just before the gate closed and couldn't help but cry a little. It was hard to leave Rory alone among people she didn't know, but it had to be done. She was old enough now, and Lorelai had to work to support them both.

Chronicles of Narnia, Lucy, growing up:

It took her a while, but she finally discovered that there was a freedom in being a child again. She was free to do whatever she wanted, because nothing was expected of her. She realised that she was free to have a childhood, something she had not been free to have the first time around.

Veronica Mars, Weevil, a hundred dollar bill:

The bill was clean and crisp as he followed it as the hand holding it moved it from side to side alluringly in front of his face. Weevil licked his lips and and made a move to take the hundred dollar bill; but the hand yanked it away.

"So what do you say, wanna do me a solid?" the girl asked and he nodded as he grabbed the money.

Doctor Who, Jenny, running

It was the strongest impulse in her body, to run, to never stand still. No matter where she was, after awhile, the need to leave made her antsy and in the end she always obliged the urge. The funny thing was that she was never sure of what she was running from.

I bought the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince dvd and saw it with my dad. I really really like this movie. I think it's great. Few things I noticed:

- Two dead rats have more chemistry than Harry and Ginny. God, those scenes were awful to watch.

- Cormac McLaggen is hot! (I want Cormac/Hermione fic! and I want it now! Sadly, it seems that fandom can't deliver on this one. I found one pretty nice one, but that's it. L'sigh- seems like I'm doomed to like the rarepairs.)

- I really like movie!Harry. He actually acts like a teenage boy. Fights with his mates and is sometimes arrogant. Yeah, I like it. Also, movie!Harry is funny.

- Draco Malfoy is brilliant in this movie. I love his emo suit of doom.

-I also noticed that Helena Bonham Carter was billed first after Emma Watson... What's up with that? Probably in her contract or something. Only way she would agree to come back for such a small part or something. Think I read that somewhere.

- For DH I really hope Matthew Lewis gets a billing.

Night my lovelies.

Today I want to talk tv shows. First off, I saw the new Doctor Who episode Waters of Mars and holy shit on a stick!! How awesome was that?

spoilers for Waters of Mars )

Then I want to talk about Supernatural. I've really gotten into it. Not that I've watched all that many episodes. I started watching season 1 and I have watched almost all of season 1 and then I watched some of season 2 and season 3, but then I was told about the angels and I jumped to season 4. Cause angles are awesome! So I watched the end of season 4 so I could watch the new episodes. spoilers for season five of Supernatural ) And since this is a new shiny fandom I have of course gone to read fic. I find the amount of slash turns me off a little and I found out an other disturbing thing about my self: I don't mind Sam/Dean, but only when Sam is a girl.

... Yes. Seems like genderfuck really is one of my kinks.

But if you want wonderful dark, angsty well written Supernatural fic then I suggest you go over and read [info]tigriswolf and read her fics. They are absolutely amazing. (If you dig out her charmed tag there's some amazing Chris and Wyatt fics there too.)

On How I Met Your Mother: Terribly, terribly disappointed. Spoilers for 5.7: The Rough Patch )

The Big Bang Theory: If it wasn't for the total awesomeness that is Sheldon Cooper this season would have been total shit. Break up L/P and we might get our old great show back.

What shows are you watching these days?

Hello people. Thank you so much for all your well wishes when I was ill. I am much better and will be going back to school on Monday. I have luckily gotten a declaration from my doctor saying that I've been sick these past two weeks, since I'm really in the shits when it comes to my sick days quota.

So the whole swineflu here's the thing: I went to the doctor and they took samples of my blood and after fifteen minutes I was called back in and my doctor told me that there was a virus in my blood and the most logical thing to conclude was that it was Swineflu. To get conclusive result would take three weeks and I was clearly not important enough to rush anything. (They probably didn't even bother to send it to the lab.)

And yes, I did take the vaccine! But my doctor told me quite nonchalantly that yeah, but that doesn't start working until after two weeks! I was like what!? No one told me that!!

My laptop is ruined. Every time I switch it on it only says can't read the disc re-start. So fuck. All my music!! Which I was stupid enough to not back up and all my fic bits. I'm so very upset. But I am going to get a MacBook for my birthday so I'm really looking forward to that. (But I want my music!! That's 900 songs and I do not want to buy them so I can get them on my new mac! (Cause no way I'm putting Limewire on my new shiny mac.))

But to some other happier news: I got a new wardrobe and sofa in my room!! I finally have a big mirror in my room and I finally have a place to put all my clothes. And my sofa! It's so pretty and nice and I love it so much.

My muse has gone and left me again. Probably because my laptop doesn't work and the one I'm using now (my fathers) is different to type on.

I went to the doctor today, took some tests and it turns out that I have the swineflu. Huh, and here I thought that I'd be immune because of the vaccine. Turns out that it needs two weeks to take effect.

Life has been hectic lately, but the good kind of hectic. I'm actually doing stuff and having fun. I've spent time with my BFF who's a private in the Royal Norwegian Air Force. I love seeing her. The ironic thing is that I see her more now than I did when she lived at home.

I'm going to take the swineflu shot on Friday. With my immune system that's probably a good idea. Let's cross our fingers and hope it won't give me any weird after effects in twenty years.

So Christmas is coming up. So this year I thought I'd do something different than sending cards. (I'm poor okay! Stamps cost money!) So instead I thought I'd each write you a fic if you want to. I'll make a seperate post later. I promise I'll write it, but it might take some time which is why I'm starting now. Exams are coming up and writing is the perfect distraction when things are going to shits.

So how was your weekend? I was supposed to stay at my grandparents cause my folks were having a party, but my grandmother caught the flu (might be swineflu we're not sure.)and I was banned from visiting them. So I had to quickly find somewhere else to be. I went to a party. (You all is like yeah? so what? But for me that's quite rare actually.) I had fun. I think. I forgot that I get drunk very fast. I spent Sunday feeling pretty bad, but I had to finish a project about Canada (which we're going to present tomorrow. Wish me luck!) and then I went to a fotball match with my family. I'm really starting to dig it. I love my team and I think I'll join their support club, my brother is already a member and it looks so much fun!

1. Comment and I'll say something I like about you, plus recommend a book or movie I think you'd be interested in.

2. The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

I'm home after four hectic days in London. My feet are still sore, but I'm oh so pleased with everything else. I really truly love London. It's my favourite city in the world.

The Tube is brilliant, beside the small fact that having to stand in a crowded cart for several stops on sore feet is torture, every city should get something similar.

If there is one thing the british is world-class at then it's queuing. To quote Andy Parsons: "There's two things the english is good at: moaning and queuing. And we que so we have something to moan about!" Now I have not encountered a lot of moaning. I've discovered that if you smile and apologize no one gets mad at you. But the queuing! It's so so fantastic. Their queuing system is the best ever. The entire world should adopt their system! Except from the right, because queuing from the left is just unnatural. Had it not been for the lovely signs saying: "Please que here!" mum and me would always come from the right.

We spent most of our time shopping- I'm sure you're all shocked- but we also managed to take a trip to Madame Tussaud. It was quite fun, except I've discovered how little I care about these celebrities, and I do not need to take a picture with their wax-look-a-like! But we did get to take a picture of us in the style of an Andy Warhol painting.

I bought seven books! One of them was Frankie Boyle's autobiography "My Shit Life So Far". I finished it on the flight home and I really liked it. (Today I bought tickets for Frankie Boyle's 2010 tour: "I Would Happily Punch Every One of You In the Face" in June. I might just go to London by myself, or I'll bring my brother. No matter, I will have a good time! If I wasn't broke when I came home last night, I am now.)

On Friday we saw Wicked. It was marvelous. The costumes and the set was so pretty. It was great.

We also discovered the HMV which is heaven for DVD-lovers. I had a small nerd-gasm! DVD's everywhere and it was all so incredibly cheap! I bought the first season of the Big Bang Theory for £15! That's 135 kr! That's what I have to pay for a movie here! And I got an entire season! It's the most awesome thing ever. I also bought Mock the Week Too Hot For TV and the Office season 3 for my friend.

I've gotten lots of new clothes including tights that's made to look like jeans, which is brilliant for me, since I can't wear skinny jeans, so this is the closest I get and it really do look like I'm wearing skinny jeans!

London. It was so much fun. I'm so tired right now, but really pleased.
