- I've finished my narniaexchange fic. I'm sending it off to my beta now. So yay for that.

- I think I'm seeing the end of one of my girl!Kirk/McCoy fics. (This one has a name! Call Bones.) But I'm getting more and more unsure if it's any good. I will post it anyhow, not because I have a need to hear what people think (even though I do.) but because I have this thing where I can't really say that I've written anything if I haven't posted it. A finished fic on my hard-drive isn't completely finished before I post it. Yeah, I'm weird like that.

-My room is getting painted so I'm sleeping in my brother's room. This is okay because he's off at Bible Camp. If he was home I would still be sleeping in his room, but we would be killing each other too.

-Bought three new t-shirts on sale today. Nothing I love more than a good sale!

I back home for a two days, because, well, I forgot that I would be home for two days. I'm exchanging parents. The last three days I was at the cabin with my dad, he's been working on expanding it. But my dad has to work this weekend, and my cousins birthday is tomorrow so I came back home with him. I'm going up on Friday again with my mum.

It's been so hot this week! I spent everyday on the beach and I've never experienced the water so warm before! It's at least 20 celsius! You can just walk right out. I've gotten a lovely tan and the good thing is that July is only beginning!

I've not finished my girl!Kirk/McCoy fic... but I kinda started on a new one? I think I need help with the last part of this fic. I've written everything except the sexings... Seems like I can't write it, but the fic kinda needs it... Don't know what to do. If anyone wants to help that would be welcome.

But I have almost finished my narniaexchange fic!! YAY ME!

Other news: I've been gone for THREE days, and I have to wade through 405 enteries on my flist! Holy shit!

I'll be gone for a week. Me and my dad is going to our cabin and I won't be back for a week. Hopefully I will be finished with the monster that's eating my brain (aka: the girl!Kirk/McCoy fic) and at least have a vague plot for my narnia fic exchange fic when I come home.

I'm writing fic!! And not the fic I should be writing (I should be writing my narniaexchange fic!) But Star Trek fic. So I've decided that Kirk/McCoy? I SHIP IT! So then you all are asking, "So, C, are you writing your first Slash Fic then?" and the answer is no. I have no idea how it happened but I'm writing genderfuck fic where Kirk is a girl... Yeah. It was supposed to be short and sweet and smutty, but it's turned into two thousand words and it's threatening to develop a plot! I'm watching the movie again tonight so hopefully that will help me finish this fic and let me get back to my regular scheduled Narnia fic writing.

Last night I was having trouble sleeping and started to wonder how all of you discovered fanfiction. And that made me think of how I did:

I found it through Gilmore Girls. Yes, you read that right. Gilmore Girls! It was 2005 and I was watching season 5 of Gilmore Girls on tv. (This is also my favorite season and I own in on dvd.) I was rapidly shipping Rory/Logan and found myself frustrated each time an episode was over and that I didn't get more. And since I live in Norway,  I knew that the episodes had already been aired in the US, so I went online to spoil myself and reassure myself that my ship was going to sail. (It did.) Then, on one fansite they had a link to a Gilmore Girls fanfiction site. And I was like, WHAT IS THIS? And I tentatively read a fic or two, and was kinda hooked. I read every R/L fic on that site and after wards went looking for more. That was when I found fanfiction.net.

But still for over a year all I read was Gilmore Girls fic. I knew that Harry Potter fic existed, but I refused to read it. A Harry Potter story not written by J.K Rowling? Not on my life would I read that. Then, on an episode of Pottercast, Melissa Anelli mentioned that she sometimes liked to read Draco/Ginny fic, and I was like... THAT MIGHT BE RELEVANT TO MY INTERESTS! The first time I entered the Harry Potter section on ffnet, I was in Thailand. (I'm not shitting you! I paid for internet because I was going bonkers without checking my inbox.) I found a Draco/Ginny fic (I remember it was an arranged marriage fic and it's still on my favorites page even though I do not have the balls to read it again- it's probably crap.) and I never looked back. Still, the only HP fic I read is almost only D/G.

I was sold. It was a great new world, and I'm never leaving. It made me write. I never thought I liked to write until I discovered fanfiction. Now it's one of my greatest pleasures.

So I ask you, lovely flist. How did you find fanfiction?

My mum is awesome! She found me a new charger! I was seriously freaking out at the prospect of not being able to use my computer. My life is on this thing. (Pathetic, but true.)

Should I make a picspam of Star Trek actor prettyness? Y/Y?

My charger went dead on me, and it's most definitively broken, my tech-savvy brother says.  I am having a quiet freak out (capslocking really loudly in my head!) My whole life is on that computer! I can't go an entire summer without my baby! But, before I despair too much, there is still the hope that my mum will get a spare charger from her work (since that is where we got the computer from in the  first place.) And since its an old work computer from my mum's work, I'm pretty sure it'll be hard to find a new charger if my mum can't find a spare one. GAAAAH!

And now I'll miss the party post over at ontd_startrek  tonight! And I was all set, planning on staying up late and everything! Oh well. I'll have to look it over tomorrow then and steal all the pretty gifs. To cheer me up I'm gonna use my pretty Karl Urban icon.

I am almost a little ashamed of myself. Star Trek has turned me into a squeeing fangirl! I've bugged all my friends to come and see it with me again. But none of them likes si-fi all that much. BUT I NEED TO SEE IT AGAIN!!

And seriously, Karl Urban is so incredibly hot. I think I have a small, HUGE, tiny celebrity crush on him. I have a huge picture file named Not Enough Karl Urban. And what's worse.... I'M NOT ASHAMED!

I've finished all my end of year test, and basically have a week of nothing, before I'll know if I have to have a oral exam too.

I've finished writing the first part of my femgen fic. First part, as in, it could be longer, but it ends semi nicely where I am now, too.

I've decided to name the country in the north Eduran. What do we think? Edur means snow in basque.

I didn't come home today before 6 am. I was out partying and the buss I was on broke down before they could drive me home. It was cold, I was tired and far away from home... I broke down and called my daddy. My daddy is great so he came and drove me home. Luckily I did not have class before 2 pm so I slept all day. Still tired though. Will not do anything today. Might go out again tomorrow night or Thursday night. I'm definitively going out Friday night, and Saturday night, cause that's the night to 17. May.

I've been watching a lot of tv shows lately (thank god for internet streaming!) I've worked my way through Dr. Who, How I met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory. Right now I'm watching the second season of Weeds. I started watching Supernatural, but stopped since it was a little too serious for me right now. I need something funny. I'm watching this to relax. But all this tv watching have off course resulted in me shipping new pairings:

Ten/Rose
Barney/Robin
Penny/Sheldon

And I'm not sure about Weeds yet.
